Tech is running out of ideas. There is only so much that is possible building apps or tools that will make the world a better place. We are therefore no longer talking about a future that is a better physical one but something virtual. For architecture what that means is confusing. When assets of a generation were a house, a car changes to digital tokens how does one generate value for services not needed anymore? 2021 has changed the internet as we know it. The change started in 2019, one could argue with the note-taking community. Then everything with blockchain took off, or so my observation is. There are the Musk SpaceX games to add that are directing eyeballs for a possible direction of the future. Meta is the accessible version of space travel. Just the other day Twitter was all abuzz about how good Dune was as a movie. I was to think that out along with the list of kindle books I purchased in October. I have speed read all of them but to process them together into something new is another skill to address. There are multiple economies that require your attention to be part of them again require sub-skills of skills. The Metaverse is planetary in scope. When you are transitioning from the internet into the blockchain or the metaverse, right now there are no fixed directions. There are a lot of paid courses, YouTube videos, podcasts, and Twitter treads that are showing the way. These quasi portals confuse positions and access. Where we want our future to be we need to take a call. Depending on which of the three worlds we plan to plot or stake that is how our interpretation of a meta future is. It is not possible to exist completely in one without missing out on what is happening in the other two, i.e. on Earth and Mars.
